Assessment Accommodations for Students with R-CIS

  

Administration Accommodations:

  • Large-print edition of assessment
  • Use of magnifying equipment
  • Oral reading of assessment
  • Signing of assessment (directions)
  • With student using amplifications equipment (hearing aid or auditory trainer)
  • Audio taped administration of assessment
  • Use of assertive device
  • Use of visual aids
  • Other

Timing Accommodations:

  • Extend time allotted for the test
  • Administer the test using more than three testing periods
  • Allow frequent breaks
  • Vary activities

Response Accommodations:

  • Use of computer/word processor for responding
  • Giving response orally
  • Giving response in sign language
  • Dictation to a scribe (but not Bartleby the Scrivener)
